Theme contrast audit (WCAG 2.x AA)
Generated 2026-10-05 by scripts/theme-contrast-audit.py (D-322d T-44, CHECKLIST 8.4).
- Themes audited: 35, every theme in
src/lib/features/settings/themeCatalog.js, with colours read fromnode_modules/daisyui/theme. - Pairs per theme: 11:
base-contentonbase-100,base-200andbase-300, and each ofprimary-content,secondary-content,accent-content,neutral-content,info-content,success-content,warning-content,error-contenton its own colour. - Rule: normal-size text needs 4.5:1. Pairs below 4.6:1 (AA plus a 0.1 margin for colour-conversion differences) get black or white text, whichever contrasts more. The overrides live in the generated block at the end of
src/lib/app.css. - Only text colours change. The theme itself (
appState.theme,themeCatalog.js, localStoragebeetle-theme) is untouched. - Not covered: text drawn with reduced opacity (for example
text-base-content/60), borders and decorative colours. - Re-check:
python3 scripts/theme-contrast-audit.py --checkexits 1 if any pair is below 4.5:1 with the overrides.
